Care & Maintenance

How to Look After Your Kamaya Table

Every Kamaya Woods piece is made with care — real wood, clear epoxy, and a lot of attention to detail. With a bit of the same care from your side, your table will age beautifully and last for years.

🧼 Day-to-Day Cleaning

Just a soft, slightly damp cloth is enough to keep things clean. For epoxy, a microfiber cloth works best to avoid streaks. No need for strong cleaners — a bit of mild soap and water does the trick for sticky spots.

☀️ Heat & Sunlight

Always use coasters or mats for anything hot — direct heat can mark both wood and epoxy. And while our pieces are finished to handle everyday life, it’s best to keep them out of direct sunlight for long periods, as natural wood can slowly change color over time.

💧 Spills & Humidity

Wipe up spills quickly. Even with epoxy protection, wood can absorb moisture if left sitting too long. If your home has very dry or very humid air, try to maintain some balance — wood responds to its environment and can expand or shrink slightly over time.

🪑 Protecting the Surface

To avoid scratches, don’t drag heavy items across the surface. If it’s a dining or work table, using placemats or felt pads underneath objects will help keep it looking fresh.

🧴 Maintaining the Finish

The wood areas of your table are protected with a premium matte oil finish. If it ever starts looking a little dry, you can refresh it using Rubio Monocoat Surface Care Spray. For the epoxy parts, a damp cloth or a non-abrasive polish is all you need.

🔧 Over Time

Some light marks and wear will naturally develop with use — that’s part of the charm of real materials. But if you ever feel it needs a bit of a refresh, just get in touch. We offer re-polishing and restoration services to bring it back to its original look.
